King's Valet

I had been using this cleaners for years. It was previously owned by an elderly couple and they just sold it so they could retire. I took in 2 pairs of my husband's pants to be hemmed. Told them I needed them hemmed to 29 1/4 inches. They CUT OFF 29 1/4 inches off the pants. They came right below my husband's knees! They would not admit they did anything wrong. After much persistence I was told to buy 2 new pairs of pants and bring them in with receipt. I asked why and was told so owner could see what she was paying for. Told them she would be paying for pants they ruined. I did as owner requested and bought 2 new pair of pants and went in with receipt. Girl at counter said she did not know anything about it, although she was there on the many times I went in. I told her the girl's name I had been talking with and she said she was the manager and only she could authorize the refund. I told her I would be back when the girl I had been talking to was in. The manager called me later and said she would reimburse me for the pants. I went by to pick up the check and was told I could no longer bring my dry cleaning there. Seriously?! OMG!
